Couple session

Something between you has shifted, and you can both feel it

Living alongside each other rather than with each other.

Structured couples work addressing conflict, intimacy breakdown, sexual disconnection and relational strain. Sixty minutes, online, with both of you in the room.

What brings couples here

Long enough that it can no longer be ignored

The arguments that go nowhere. The distance that has quietly grown. The intimacy that has faded or fractured.

Sometimes it is a specific event — an affair, a loss, a transition — that has exposed a fault line that was always there. Sometimes there is no single cause, just a gradual erosion that neither person knows how to reverse.

Both are workable. But only if the work is honest.

What we work on

Five places this usually lives

Communication and conflict

Patterns of argument, withdrawal, stonewalling and misattunement, and what is actually being said beneath the surface of the fight.

Intimacy and connection

Emotional distance, loss of closeness, difficulty being vulnerable with each other, and rebuilding a genuine bond rather than a managed coexistence.

Sexual disconnection

Mismatched desire, avoidance, performance difficulties and shame. Psychosexual work is integrated into couples sessions where relevant, examined directly rather than skirted.

Trust and rupture

Affairs, betrayals and breaches of trust, including the work required by both partners to move through them — whether the relationship continues or not.

Transition and change

Parenthood, relocation, career change, loss, and the relational strain that major life transitions tend to produce.

Not mediation, not couples coaching. Clinical work, with the relationship as the patient.

If your partner won't come

One person can still change a relationship

Couples work needs both of you to want to be there. If your partner isn't willing yet, don't book a couple session and hope — book an individual session instead.

A relationship is a system. Changing how one person operates inside it changes the system, and a good number of couples arrive here after one of them started alone.

Questions people actually ask

Before you book

Will you take sides? No. But I won't be neutral about behaviour either. If one of you is doing something that keeps the problem in place, I'll name it — to your face, and with the same directness I'd use on the other person.
What if this ends our relationship? It might. Honest conversation sometimes reveals that two people want different lives. I won't steer you toward staying or leaving — that isn't my call — but I will help you both see clearly, and some couples use that clarity to separate well rather than badly.
One of us has already decided. Is there any point? Yes, though not the point you might expect. If the decision is genuinely made, the work becomes ending it with as little damage as possible — particularly where there are children. That is worth doing properly.
Do you see us separately as well? Sometimes, where it's useful, and always with both of you knowing it's happening. I don't hold secrets for one partner against the other.
Do we have to talk about sex? Only if it's relevant, and you'd be surprised how often it is. It won't be forced, and it won't be avoided because it's uncomfortable.
Can we be in different locations? Yes. Sessions are online and plenty of couples join from two places — different rooms in the same house, or different countries.
Is this the same as mediation? No. Mediation is a neutral process for reaching agreement, usually when a relationship is ending. This is clinical work on the relationship itself. If what you actually need is mediation, that's here.
Begin with clarity

If your relationship feels stuck, this is where the work begins

We start with a single session. No agenda beyond honesty about what is actually happening, and what both of you actually want.
